Puducherry Technological University students develop mental health Apps

Students at Puducherry Technological University have developed three new mental health applications in collaboration with the National Mental Health Mission. The apps focus on detecting learning disorders in children, tracking student mental health, and screening for Alzheimer's disease.

Under a joint initiative of the Puducherry Technological University (PTU) and National Mental Health Mission (NMHM), Puducherry, 14 undergraduate students of the University with the assistance of their faculty and doctors, have developed three innovative mental health applications - Mindora-Py, Peace and AlzPredict.
At a function held in the Legislative Assembly recently, Chief Minister N. Rangasamy launched all the three Apps in the presence of senior officials from the Health Department and the PTU. During the launch, the Chief Minister distributed Certificates of Recognition to the students and mentors of the project, a release here said.
