PU guest lecturers' honorarium fixed at ₹14,000: Minister
Karnataka's Minister for School Education, Madhu Bangarappa, announced an increase in the monthly honorarium for guest lecturers in pre-university colleges from ₹12,000 to ₹14,000. Minister for School Education and Literacy Madhu Bangarappa told the Legislative Assembly on Thursday that the monthly honorarium for guest lecturers in pre-university colleges had been increased from ₹12,000 to ₹14,000.
Replying to a question raised by Congress member Nayana Motamma during Question Hour, Mr. Bangarappa said guest lecturers were not entitled to any facilities other than the honorarium, as the rules did not permit it. Guest lecturers have been assigned 10 hours of teaching each week, he said.
