Protesters seek dust-, pothole-free Hubballi

Members of the Namma Karnataka Sene staged a protest at Sangolli Rayanna Circle in Hubballi on Saturday, urging the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation to take immediate measures to make the city dust- and pothole-free.

The protesters distributed masks to the public and later took out a march to the office of the Municipal Commissioner, where they submitted a memorandum.

They alleged that several major roads in the city were riddled with potholes and covered in dust, while ongoing flyover works had worsened traffic and road conditions. The lack of coordination among the departments executing various civic works had also resulted in incomplete road repairs and open excavations, they said.
