Indiya Jananayaka Katchi (IJK) staged a demonstration at Thanjavur on July 21 condemning the Karnataka government for attempting to construct a dam across Cauvery river at Mekedatu.
The demonstrators, who assembled near the Panagal Building on Anna Salai here, raised slogans condemning the Karnataka government and urged the Union and Tamil Nadu government to initiate necessary steps to stall the construction of a dam at Mekedatu.
