Proposal for Vande Bharat train from Tirupati to Shivamogga gets green signal
The Ministry of Railways has approved a proposal for a new Vande Bharat train service connecting Tirupati and Shivamogga via Bengaluru. The service aims to accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims and travelers moving between these cities for medical and educational purposes.

The proposal submitted by Tirupati MP Maddila Gurumoorthy for a Vande Bharat train service between Tirupati and Shivamogga has received a positive response from the Ministry of Railways.
It may be recalled that Mr. Gurumoorthy had written to the Railway Board Chairman and CEO to improve the facilities in Tirupati railway station and to introduce new Vande Bharat trains to Tirupati, considering the rising pilgrim footfall. In response, the Railway Board announced that it would pursue the request and officially communicated to him that a proposal had been made to introduce a Vande Bharat from Tirupati to Shivamogga town via Bengaluru.
