Production designer Sabu Cyril wins Artist Namboothiri Samman Trust award
Production designer Sabu Cyril has been awarded the second Artist Namboothiri Samman Trust award for his significant contributions to Indian cinema. Cyril is recognized for his extensive work on over 115 films, including major projects like Baahubali and RRR.

Noted production designer and art director Sabu Cyril has been selected for the second Artist Namboothiri Samman Trust award. Actor Mohanlal, patron of the trust who announced the award, said in a communication that Sabu Cyril had crafted his own style of art direction in Indian cinema. The award is in recognition of the immense contributions made by Mr. Cyril to cinema, he said.
The award was instituted by the Kochi-based Artist Namboothiri Samman Trust in memory of the rich legacy of the legendary artist. It carries a cash prize of ₹1 lakh, citation and a sculpture of artist Namboothiri, according to the release.
