Private travels bus goes up in flames in Anantapur district, passengers safe
A private bus traveling from Bengaluru to Hyderabad caught fire on NH-44 in Anantapur district on Thursday. All 33 passengers were safely evacuated before the vehicle was completely destroyed, and police have launched an investigation.

A private travels bus was gutted on NH-44, near Miduturu of Peddavadugur mandal in Anantapur district, in early hours of Thursday. However, no one was injured, the police said.
The bus was travelling from Bengaluru to Hyderabad when flames were noticed on the rear side of the vehicle. The driver, Siddhaiah Swamy, noticed the fire and brought the bus to a halt immediately. All the 33 passengers in the bus got down from the vehicle before flames engulfed it.
The police said that fire spread rapidly and gutted the bus completely. The Peddavadugur police and fire services personnel rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control.
