Provides critical updates for sports fans regarding roster changes and player health in professional international cricket.
Fast bowler Prince Yadav has been drafted into India's squad for the upcoming ODIs against England as a replacement for the injured Harshit Rana, while Ravi Bishnoi replaces Varun Chakaravarthy, also down with an injury, in the T20I squad for the Zimbabwe tour. During the drubbing at the hands of England in the T20I series, India suffered a double blow with hamstring injuries to both Harshit and Varun. The BCCI revealed that Rana had reported a sudden onset of discomfort in his right hamstring during the third T20I against England at Trent Bridge. Subsequent scans revealed a Grade 1 hamstring injury. Varun meanwhile felt it on his left hamstring during the same fixture, with scans revealing a more severe Grade 2 hamstring injury. Both will now report to BCCI's Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru for further assessment and management.
