Priest accused of sexually assaulting woman, now allegedly pregnant, in Chikkamagaluru

A woman in Chikkamagaluru has alleged that a temple priest sexually assaulted her repeatedly and threatened her with consequences if she disclosed the matter to anyone. She has further claimed that she is pregnant as a result of the assault.
According to the complaint she lodged with the Women’s Police Station in Chikkamagaluru on July 17, the woman alleged that she had been visiting the Panjurli temple at Baskal, along with her sisters, for prayers as she was reportedly unwell. During her visits, she became acquainted with the temple priest, identified as Sridhar.
