PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has congratulated Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema on his re-election, pledging to deepen cooperation between Namibia and Zambia during his renewed term in office.
Hichilema was re-elected following Zambia’s elections held on 13 August 2026.
In a statement, Nandi-Ndaitwah extended her congratulations to Hichilema on securing a renewed mandate and wished him wisdom, strength and success as he continues to lead Zambia.
She also commended the Zambian people for participating in the democratic process and exercising their right to determine the leadership and direction of their country.
Nandi-Ndaitwah stressed that receiving a mandate from the people comes with the responsibility to govern in the interests of all citizens, strengthen democratic institutions and safeguard national peace and unity.
