Mr Museveni on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, attended the ceremony in person—just as he did on September 12, 1995, when the late King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV was enthroned as a child. In his address, the President paid tribute to the late King Oyo while congratulating his successor, a former television journalist.
