Premier League transfer window ratings: Every club graded from A* to F

Transfermarkt provides a critical review of Premier League clubs' summer transfer activities following a record-breaking spending period. The analysis evaluates team recruitment strategies and squad management for the upcoming season.
Why it matters
The Premier League is a massive global business, and transfer window performance is a primary indicator of a club's competitive potential and financial health.
The transfer window is finally over for Premier League clubs, who spent a record-breaking 4.01 billion across the course of the summer. That broke the previous record spend by the English top-flight, which was 3.61b 12 months ago in the summer of 2025. Nevertheless, some clubs will be a lot happier than others. Certain teams will sit back and be very happy with their squads, whilst others may still be left short in certain areas. Here at Transfermarkt , I have rated every Premier League club's transfer window from an A* to an F, based on what they needed, what they got and what they paid for it, as well as what they sold or kept hold of. The teams are ranked alphabetically.
