Premature blood stem cell aging in sickle cell disease may be reversible

A study from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital suggests that premature aging of blood stem cells in sickle cell disease patients may be reversible using senolytic drugs. These drugs target aging-related processes to restore the bone marrow's ability to produce healthy blood cells.
