Preliminary evaluation of a qPCR HRM assay for differentiation of Leishmania major and Leishmania tropica

Researchers have developed a qPCR-HRM assay to accurately differentiate between Leishmania major and Leishmania tropica, two parasites causing cutaneous leishmaniasis. The study, conducted in Iran, showed high success in identifying clinical isolates compared to traditional methods.
