Prakasam District Collector takes charge as ZP Special Officer

Prakasam District Collector P. Raja Babu assumed charge as the ZP Special Officer in Ongole on Friday (September 25, 2026), following the completion of the Zilla Parishad chairperson’s term.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that efforts would be made to ensure the uninterrupted implementation of the various welfare and development schemes introduced by the State government.

The Collector informed that this tenure would continue until fresh elections are held and new chairpersons are elected. He noted that the undivided Prakasam district comprises 56 mandals and 784 MPTC constituencies.
