Dakshina Kannada District in-charge Minister U.T. Khader on Saturday said the government has established the Department of Prajaseva to hear and redress the grievances of every citizen.

He was speaking after inaugurating the district-level Praja Seva Andolana in Puttur. The government’s objective is to deliver the benefits of every government scheme to every citizen. For this, the Prajaseva Department has been formed to listen to the grievances of the people and provide appropriate solutions. He said the objective of the andolana is to scrutinise and dispose of the applications from the public in accordance with the rules.

Mr. Khader noted that some issues could not be resolved even after several years. Applications received during the andolana should be considered and solutions provided within the scope of the law. Serious thought should be given to solving problems, he said, urging officials to examine issues with patience and tolerance to serve people.
