Actor Prabhudeva is set to inaugurate the Yuva Dasara 2026 festival in Mysuru, which will feature five nights of musical performances. The event includes extensive security measures and a food mela to accommodate large crowds expected at the venue.
Why it matters
Yuva Dasara is a significant cultural and economic event for the region, drawing large crowds and promoting local tourism.
Actor, director, and choreographer Prabhudeva will inaugurate Yuva Dasara 2026 on Tuesday, setting the stage for five evenings of music and entertainment featuring prominent artistes as part of the Mysuru Dasara festivities.
The event, one of the major attractions of Dasara, will be held from Tuesday to Saturday near the Jwalamukhi Tripura Sundari Temple on Ring Road at Uttanahalli.
Superintendent of Police and Yuva Dasara Deputy Special Officer Mallikarjuna Baladandi announced the programme at a press conference at the venue on Monday. He also released the official Yuva Dasara 2026 album song, with lyrics by Somasekhar G.S. and Manoj Saugandh and music composed by film music director B. Ajaneesh Loknath.
The song captures the enthusiasm of young people, Mysuru’s cultural heritage and the festive spirit of Dasara, he said.
