Officials did not say what state the person traveled from, but said anyone who was at the Holiday Inn at 435 Smokey Park Highway in Asheville on Aug. 26 from 1 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. may have been exposed.
Those exposed should monitor their symptoms until Sept. 16.
