Pollution of Tamirabharani will become a thing of the past, says Minister

The pollution of Tamirabharani River will become a thing of the past during the tenure of the present government as a conservation action plan will soon be launched, Minister for Finance N. Marie Wilson has said.
During an informal chat with reporters at Palayamkottai on Thursday, after garlanding the statue of freedom fighter Ondiveeran at his memorial, Mr. Wilson said steps would be taken to conserve the perennial river that quenched the thirst of millions. Credible and longstanding solutions were being drawn in this direction and, hence, visible changes would happen. “Conserving the Tamirabharani, which was deemed impossible in the past, will become possible soon.”
