At the weekend, the attorney-general of the United Arab Emirates said that pilot Hamad Saif al-Shamsi underwent a “drift towards extremism and terrorism” while studying in Melbourne.
The shadow home affairs minister, Jonno Duniam , said there could be no place for hate preachers or anyone advocating terror or violence in the country.
