Labor’s Yiwarr McGrath wins NT seat of Mulka
Labor has won the seat of Mulka in the Northern Territory’s north-east Arnhem Land in a byelection over the weekend, after 35-year-old Yolngu man Yiwarr McGrath secured the victory.
McGrath , a registered nurse and 2021 NT Young Australian of the Year , won 77.5% of the vote on Saturday amid a low voter turnout.
