Share A A A Police helicopters and the riot squad were called in to shut down a wild party of more than 200 people south-east of Brisbane on Saturday night after people began throwing glass bottles at officers.

The large disturbance, believed to be an 18-year-old’s birthday party, was reported to police at a home near Ney and Wildflower roads in Capalaba about 10.15pm on Saturday.

Officers called in Polair to assist them after party-goers threw bottles at police upon arrival. They eventually gained entry to the residence, while a number of people fled the area.
