Police urge manpower agencies, companies in Coimbatore district to report suspicious activities among workers

The Coimbatore District (Rural) Police have instructed manpower agencies, companies and labour contractors to monitor their employees and promptly report any suspicious activity among them to the police.
District Superintendent of Police A. Pavan Kumar Reddy instructed that all manpower agencies should be duly registered. They should maintain the whereabouts, employment and accommodation details of workers engaged through them, particularly migrant workers. Basic particulars of workers should be furnished to the jurisdictional police station and updated periodically.
The participants were instructed to report to the jurisdictional police if any worker goes missing, absconds or leaves the workplace or accommodation without intimation.
