Kozhikode police are launching a WhatsApp group for residents' association leaders to facilitate real-time information sharing as part of 'Operation Toofan'. The initiative aims to improve community policing and combat drug trafficking.
An online information-sharing platform for residents’ association functionaries will soon become a reality in Kozhikode city as part of the continuing fight against drug trafficking under ‘Operation Toofan’. As a first step, a new WhatsApp group comprising around 350 residents’ association functionaries will be created to facilitate the quick exchange of emergency information with the police.
