Police tight-lipped on North Korean IT scammer and Kiwi accomplice
New Zealand police are withholding details regarding an investigation into a North Korean IT worker who defrauded a local company. The worker, who used a local accomplice to operate a company laptop, allegedly threatened to leak sensitive data when discovered.

On Thursday, the National Cyber Security Centre revealed it had dealt with a remote worker earning foreign currency for the North Korean state by tricking a local company into hiring them.
They paid a local person to receive and operate the company's laptop.
