Police sniffer dog aids arrest of two over murder of three family members in Kyegegwa

The police in Kyegegwa District have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of three family members in Karokalungi, Kyamaga Parish, Nkanja Sub-county on Wednesday night.
Rwenzori West Police Spokesperson, SP Twesige Vicent identified the deceased in a statement as Kansiime Christine, 28, her daughter, Miracle, aged one year and three months, and Joan A, 19, a domestic worker employed at Christine’s home.
Police say the suspects were apprehended with the assistance of the sniffer dog, which was introduced to the scent bed and picked up a human scent, which it followed during the tracking exercise.
The dog led the officers to a corridor in Bwiliza village, where some clothing belonging to one of the deceased was recovered.
