Police search realtor’s home in Madanapalle over alleged land grab

Police conducted searches at the residence of a woman, Koneti Sulochana, in Madanapalle in connection with an alleged land-grab case involving properties worth crores. The search lasted from Saturday evening till the early hours of Sunday.
The searches followed court orders after a public complaint that she, a local realtor and an associate of a former Minister, illegally grabbed land, the police said.
Teams led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (Madanapalle) Bucchiraju searched her house and her brother Srinivasulu’s house.
Nearly 50 documents and 15 bond papers allegedly bearing forged signatures were said to have been seized during the searches. The documents would be sent to the forensic lab for analysis, the police said.
