Why it matters
High-profile religious and diplomatic visits require significant public resource allocation and security coordination in urban centers.
Future City Commissioner of Police Tarun Joshi reviewed security, traffic and law-and-order arrangements on Sunday ahead of the scheduled visit of Prince Rahim Aga Khan V on September 15.
The prince is scheduled to attend a spiritual programme of the Ismaili community.
Mr. Joshi instructed personnel deployed at key junctions to monitor traffic closely and ensure smooth vehicular movement. Officers at parking locations were asked to regulate vehicles systematically and keep the entry and exit points clear.
The commissioner stressed punctuality, proper turnout and strict supervision of duties, warning that negligence or dereliction would invite departmental action.
