Police probe Osun motor park shooting

The Osun State Police Command on Sunday said it had commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting of one Olalekan Oyeyemi, popularly known as ‘Emir Ajagungbade’. PUNCH reports that Emir was shot on Sunday during a clash involving him and a group of drivers led by a man identified as Sibi around Mayfair Motor Park in Ile-Ife. Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, in a statement signed by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, confirmed that Emir died in the incident and directed the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Zungura, to fish out those responsible for the crime. Reacting to the incident in a statement obtained on Sunday, the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Ojelabi, said, “The attention of the Police was called to an incident which occurred around Energy Filling Station, Ile-Ife.
