Police in Limpopo have opened an inquest after the body of a 22-year-old woman was found partially clothed near the fence of the University of Limpopo campus in Mankweng on Sunday morning.
Police spokesperson Brig Hlulani Mashaba said the woman’s body was discovered along Sovenga Street at about 6am with her head positioned inside a trench adjacent to the campus fence.
“Police were on patrol duties when they received information about a female victim found lying motionless along the campus fence and rushed to the scene,” said Mashaba.
Upon arrival, officers found the woman partially clothed.
