Police officer stabbed in neck in Brisbane's east, union says

Link copied Share Share article A male police officer has been injured after police say he was stabbed in the neck while on duty in Brisbane's east.

Police said officers were called to a reported disturbance at a property on Bogong Street in Hemmant just after 5am on Sunday.

Officers spoke with two men at the property before a male constable was injured.

"A 35-year-old [from] Hemmant has armed himself with a knife, and he has used that knife to stab one of our officers, a male constable twice in the neck," Acting Chief Superintendent Heath McQueen said.

Acting Chief Superintendent McQueen said a second male officer also received a "laceration to his head".
