Police move hundreds of CJP volunteers to Chhatrasal Stadium holding camp
Hundreds of protesters, including volunteers from the Cockroach Janta Party, have been detained and held at Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi. Authorities have restricted movement within the facility as the political standoff continues.
Why it matters
The mass detention of protesters reflects the government's aggressive stance against public demonstrations regarding electoral processes.
Hundreds of volunteers of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), along with other citizens and workers, were brought from multiple locations across Delhi to Chhatrasal Stadium in Model Town on Saturday (October 10, 2026), where they were being held, according to those present at the venue.
Buses carrying the group were taken directly into the stadium premises. No formal administrative process had begun hours after people were brought in, with many left waiting inside the ground.

“All are here because the system wants us silenced, but holding thousands in a stadium doesn’t break our resolve,” Vijay Mallangi, one of those held, said, referring to the security clampdown.
