Police in Kampala are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder of a 22-year-old waitress, whose body was discovered lying in a pool of blood inside her rented room in Mukalazi Zone, Bukoto I Parish, Nakawa Division.

The deceased, identified as Jovia Namuwulya, was found dead on August 20, 2026. According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, SP Racheal Kawala, the murder is believed to have occurred between midnight and 6:00 AM at the residential premises where Namuwulya lived.
