Police conduct Operation Night Safety across Anantapur district
Anantapur district police conducted 'Operation Night Safety' to curb crime and prevent road accidents during late-night hours. The initiative included surveillance of sensitive areas and a 'Face Wash & Go' program at toll gates to keep long-distance drivers alert.

As part of Operation Night Safety aimed at preventing any disturbance to law and order, the district police has carried out extensive surveillance in crime-prone areas from 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. Thursday.
Special vigil was maintained at all major junctions, sensitive locations, and inter-State border checkposts to prevent the entry of anti-social elements and illegal transportation from neighbouring States. Extensive drunk-and-drive tests were conducted and cases were registered under the Motor Vehicles Act against those who violated the rules.
Several youths and suspicious persons found roaming unnecessarily on the roads during the midnight hours were questioned and let off after verification. They were counselled about the risks of roaming outside without any valid reason during late-night hours.
