Police conduct night drive at 1,417 establishments; 113 drunk-driving cases booked

Police conducted a large-scale night enforcement drive across the city, inspecting over 1,400 establishments for regulatory compliance. The operation resulted in numerous drunk-driving cases and the seizure of vehicles for various traffic violations.

The police conducted a special night-time enforcement drive across the city on Friday, inspecting 1,417 establishments, including pubs, bars, clubs, entertainment venues, hotels and restaurants, to check violations of operating hours and other regulations.
The operation was led by Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh. The police teams visited establishments across various areas, and some commercial outlets found operating beyond permitted hours were directed to shut down.
The drive covered 843 pubs and bars, 42 dance bars and clubs, 53 entertainment venues and 522 hotels and restaurants.
As part of the operation, the police conducted naka checks on major roads across the city. A total of 2,584 two-wheelers, 692 three-wheelers and 748 four-wheelers were checked. Of these, 187 two-wheelers, two three-wheelers and five four-wheelers were seized for various violations.
