Police committed to making Sri Sathya Sai a crime-free district, says SP
The Superintendent of Police in Sri Sathya Sai district announced intensified enforcement against drunk driving and public nuisance to improve safety. The district has seen significant legal action against traffic violators over the past six months.

Superintendent of Police (SP) S. Satish Kumar reiterated that the police remained determined to make Sri Sathya Sai a crime-free and safe district, for which intensified crackdowns on drunk driving, public drinking and other anti-social activities would be conducted regularly.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the SP said that top priority was placed on saving lives through the robust implementation of road safety drives over time, and by strengthening law and order across the district.
During the past six months, police registered 364 drunk driving cases. Of these, 254 cases were charge-sheeted before the courts, imposing penalties amounting to ₹25.40 lakh. “This achievement is one of the highest levels of enforcement action in the State,” Mr. Satish Kumar said.
