Police book nine students for ragging juniors in Pandeshwar

The Mangaluru South Police have booked nine students of a private college in Pandeshwar on the charge of kidnapping and attempting to murder a junior student in the guise of ragging.

An FIR was registered and submitted before the jurisdictional magistrate court on Wednesday, based on the complaint of victim Ameer Ali, 19, a native of Thrissur district in Keralam and currently pursuing first year BBA at Srinivas University, Pandeshwar. The victim accused his seniors, Naseed Ameer, Adil M., Ashrak, Anish, Uvais, Rohan Ramesh, Adil V.P., Rehan M.P., and Shinas, of kidnapping him, confining him in a room, and attempting to murder him.
