Police arrest two youth for ‘sexually assaulting’ woman
Two youths were arrested in Vijayawada for the alleged sexual assault of a 40-year-old woman. Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are currently investigating the incident.

A 40-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by two youth at Vambay Colony on the outskirts of Vijayawada a couple of days ago. The incident came to light on Saturday after the woman lodged a complaint with the police.
Nunna Circle Inspector (CI) Ahmed Ali said the two youth, who were in inebriated condition, allegedly raped the woman. The accused have been taken into custody.
A case has been registered under Section 70 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and investigation is under way, the CI said.
