A special team constituted in the wake of a complaint to Varuna Police station on July 16, 2026, by Ramu, a resident of Muddegowdanahundi, arrested the accused identified as Siddaraju, 47, Anand N., 30, Karthik K.M., 30 and Purushotham, 28.
Addressing a press conference in Mysuru on Saturday, Superintendent of Mysuru district police Mallikarjun Baladandi said the police are on the lookout for four others.
According to the police, Ramu, who was proceeding to his house from his farmhouse on a scooter around 8.30 p.m. on July 15, was intercepted by four accused persons travelling by car.
