Hundreds of thousands of revellers will descend on Notting Hill Carnival on Monday as police hailed the "overwhelmingly positive and celebratory" mood, despite making 169 arrests.
The annual west London carnival, taking place across two main days and celebrating its 60th anniversary , is Europe’s biggest street party and billed by organisers as “the greatest community-led event on the planet”.
