The police have announced traffic diversions to facilitate the laying of underground drainage (UGD) pipeline by the Coimbatore Corporation between Thaneerpandal junction and the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) sub-station on Codissia Road from August 19 to September 7.

Entry of vehicles will be prohibited on the stretch during the 20 days. Two-wheelers and four-wheelers should alternatively use Thaneerpandal ninth street (Foundry Road) via Tamil Nadu Housing Board area to get connected to Codissia Road and further to Avinashi Road.

Heavy vehicles, which used to take the closed stretch to reach Avinashi Road, should pass via Thaneerpandal junction, Gandhima Nagar Road and Pioneer Mill Road to get connected to Avinashi Road.
