R. Mohan, poet and cultural activist, passed away here on Wednesday (September 9, 2026) evening. He was 73.
A native of Alappuzha district, he had been living in Kozhikode for many years. Mohan’s articles and poems have appeared in Malayalam periodicals. He was well known for Cholkkazhcha , a performance-cum-recital of Malayalam poems with acting and visual expressions, at cultural forums in Kozhikode. Urumbukalkku Olithavalangal Venda , his collection of poems, was published recently.
