The Bhimavaram POCSO court on Tuesday sentenced 24-year-old N. Bhadrachalam to 15 years imprisonment for rape and abduction of a 15-year-old girl in Bhimavaram police division in West Godavari district in 2021.
In an official release, West Godavari SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi said: “On 20 April, 2021, Bhadrachalam abducted the girl from her house when she was alone, and took her away on his two-wheeler. The girl was rescued four days later during a search operation.”.
A case was registered on a complaint by the girl, who alleged that she was raped by Bhadrachalam, said the SP.
