Former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Pon. Radhakrishnan on Friday said the sexual assault on minors involving the Gem Granites chairman R. Veeramani was a “huge disgrace” to Tamil Nadu and urged the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government not to show any mercy on those behind the crime.
Mr. Pon. Radhakrishnan told presspersons here on Friday that there was no point in blaming previous government for the crime as this had been committed over the years. The TVK government should initiate tough action against those behind the crime without showing them any compassion and mercy. All those who benefited from it should be exposed and punished, Mr. Radhakrishnan said.
