A POCSO accused prisoner, who escaped from police custody while undergoing treatment at Kanniyakumari Government Medical College Hospital (KKGMCH) in Asaripallam on Thursday, was secured by the police in Eraniel within eight hours.

According to police, Stephen Raj, 36, a prisoner lodged at the Kanniyakumari district jail in Nagercoil in connection with a POCSO case registered by Marthandam All Women Police Station, had been undergoing treatment at KKGMCH. He was admitted to the hospital on September 30 due to health issues.
