KUALA LUMPUR: The Negeri Sembilan public works department (JKR) director told the High Court in former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s corruption trial today the Prime Minister's Office did not interfere in the issuance of payments to engineering firm KCJ Engineering Sdn Bhd.
Wan Hasnan Wan Musa, 51, said in his witness statement that KCJ Engineering was awarded the contract to build a new road linking Felda Bukit Jalor to Gemas, Negeri Sembilan, on July 30, 2021.
He said the company received RM10 million in advance payment on May 26, 2022, followed by RM14,366,420 in interim payments through multiple transactions between March 28, 2022, and Feb 15, 2023.
