Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday handed over the first set of keys to a house built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) at an event in the city, the first such handover since the scheme was launched 11 years ago, as reported by news agency ANI.The scheme, announced in 2015, aims to provide affordable housing to economically disadvantaged sections of society. Each flat is priced at Rs 6 lakh, with the Centre contributing Rs 2.5 lakh, the state government Rs 1 lakh, and the beneficiary paying the remaining Rs 2.5 lakh.
