PM-RAHAT: No delay or denial of treatment to accident victims, says DC

Deputy Commissioner Kumar has directed the Health Department and hospitals concerned to take necessary steps to ensure that road accident victims receive cashless emergency treatment of up to ₹1.5 lakh under the PM-RAHAT (NHA) scheme.
He was speaking at a progress review meeting held at his office in Mandya on Thursday to assess the treatment and assistance being provided to accident victims under the scheme.
Mr. Kumar said saving the lives of accident victims should be the top priority. No injured person should be denied treatment on the grounds that they lacked documents or records during an emergency. Hospitals should admit victims and begin emergency treatment immediately, without waiting for documents wherever necessary, he said.
