The organisers of the National Ploughing Championships have announced that the event will move to Co Kildare next year.

Boherkill Farm in Rathangan will be the new host venue after Screggan in Co Offaly, which has staged the event for the past two years.

It's understood the 2027 Ploughing will also be held a week later than usual (from 21-23 September), to avoid a clash with the Ryder Cup in Adare Manor in Limerick.
