Svarnim Puducherry, a unit of Sri Aurobindo Society in collaboration with Shree Bharath Vidyashram CBSE Senior Secondary School, organised a special plantation drive at Umarankadu near Bahour on Wednesday.
Volunteers from Svarnim Puducherry and 100 school students took part in the event.
The initiative aimed at going beyond tree planting by instilling environmental responsibility among students. It sought to enhance green cover, support local biodiversity, create awareness on climate action, and encourage students to adopt sustainable habits in their everyday lives.
